Opening batsman Zawad Abrar struck a breathtaking unbeaten 130 off 180 balls powered by 14 boundaries and 6 sixes to lead Bangladesh U19 to an emphatic 9 wicket triumph with 93 balls to spare in the second Youth ODI to draw level in the 5-match series yesterday at the CCC Grounds.

He put on 180 together with skipper Azizul Hakim who made 69 off 89 hitting 5 boundaries and 3 sixes in overhauling Sri Lanka’s 211 all out in 48.5 overs after the hosts took first lease on winning the toss.

Sri Lanka came a cropper before pacer Al Fahad’s impeccable 6 for 44.
Chamika Heenatigala top scored for Sri Lanka U19 with 51 off 91 balls with 2 boundaries .
Others among the runs were Dinura Damsith 47 off 52 with 3 fours and 2 sixes, Dimantha Mahavithana 39 and Dulnith Sigera 39.
