Sri Lanka and defending champions Australia were awarded 1 point each after their ICC Women’s World Cup match was a no result rain washout on Saturday without a ball being bowled at Colombo’s R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
Continued rain throughout evaporated any hopes of the match taking off with the covers in place.
The two umpires decided to declare a no result by 5.35 when it became clear the rains would continue.
