Meanwhile, NCC figured in another thrilling 1-run win over Panadura SC on a 28 ball cameo unbeaten 50 by all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne hitting 4 boundaries and 2 over the top and Niroshan Dickwella 44 off 30 with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes in their Sri Lanka Cricket Major Clubs T20 Tournament match at the CCC Grounds yesterday.
The duo stood tall in NCC getting the better of Panadura SC despite a gutty 83 off 39 balls by opening batsman Vishen Halambage who slammed 9 boundaries and 5 sixes in lost valiant effort.
NCC defended 159 for 6 off 20 overs in that dramatic 1 tun win thanks to skipper Sahan Arachchige’s 3 for 29 haul.
