SLC Greens bounce back to give SLC Blues the Blues

SLC Greens scraped out of a scare of 57 for 5 wickets to recovering to 158 for 6 wickets in 20 overs, thanks to a timely captain’s innings by Kamindu Mendis who slammed 50 off 39 balls inclusive of 5 boundaries, and Chamika Karunaratne an unbeaten 41 off 30 with 2 sixes and equal number of boundaries in posting 82 for the sixth wicket to bundling out SLC Blues for 86 runs on a brilliant 4 wicket haul for 18 runs by Dushan Hematha in the fourth match of the Sri Lanka Cricket T20 League at the SSC Grounds on Monday.

It was the Greens second consecutive win having beaten SLC Greys yesterday by 24 runs.
Put into bat, SLC Greens scored 158 for 6 wickets off 20 overs that set up the stage for Dushan Hemantha to scythe through the Blues with Chamika Karunaratne rounding off a fine match winning all-round show taking 2 wickets for 17.

The Blues suffered a setback of Kusal Janith Perera retiring hurt for 6 with the score on 36 with only three batsmen reaching double figures in Dhananjaya de Silva striking 18 off 20 with 2 boundaries.
