The reappointment of sacked former captain Dasun Shanaka as Sri Lanka’s T20 captain for the 2026 World Cup looks a typical trag comic Walt Disney act that starkly showcases how badly Sri Lanka is short of right thinking in bringing back a literal failed moron whose comeback has been nothing of the new but a stop start career that has not produced any big scores with the bat but playing the same old fiddle of not going beyond the 30s score or real match winning performances. That the 34 year old Shanaka has remarried like a pancy with nothing big to talk about him as to his batting and bowling deeds other than his height of a a six footer who has failed to translate it to the desired cricketing fire power potential smacks of nothing but rubbish poppycock. Just like the poppycock reappointed chief selector Pramodya Wickremasunghe whose last stint in his first run in the role was nothing but an utter mess up of things.
