Opening batsman Ravindu Rasantha followed up his recent double century with yet another big score of an unbeaten 100 off 196 balls studded with 10 boundaries to put Jaffna in a box seat 206 for 2 off 62 overs against Dambulla with veteran batsman Angelo Mathews coming to the party with a fluent unbeaten 63 off 49 balls with the aid of 6 boundaries on the opening day of the Sri Lanka Cricket National Super League match at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Rasantha and Mathews gelled strong after Jaffna decided to bat first on winning the toss that followed two early setbacks when Shevon Daniel was dismissed for 7 and Thanuka Dabare for 33.

Dinura Kalupahana and Dulaj Samuditha shared the two wickets to fall.
