5-wicket Nimasara Athragalla left out of the awards.

Galle’s Nimasara Athargalla proved to be the center piece to his side winning the Sri Lanka Cricket National Super League long format 4–day Tournament title for a second time in succession by a telling 5-wicket haul that put the brakes on Dambulla’s top order in a final that was decided on the first innings.

But surprisingly poor Atharagalla was consigned to just an also ran without being considered for the top award, by all accounts on the merit of his bowling performance by far dictating the final outcome of the final. His effort with the ball mainly earned Galle the title in making the first innings margin between the two sides a decisive 57 runs that swung it Galle’s way.

Galle totaled 370 and Dambulla 313 which was the deciding line to the title with the game ending in a no decision with rain stoppages being a spoiler. Galle were 246 for 5 in the second innings.
The Player of the Final went to Galle’s Dinesh Chandimal.

Galle’s winning Captain, Ramesh Mendis received the championship trophy from Sri Lanka Cricket’s Secretary, Bandula Dissanayake, The top Player of the Tournament and Best Bowlers awards went to Dambulla’s Akila Dananjaya who topped the bowling with 37 wickets.

Jaffna’s Ravindu Rasantha was the Best Batsman.

Galle’s Dunith Wellalage and Kandy’s Shiran Fernando were joint second in the bowling aggregate with 15 wickets each.

The awards ceremony was also graced by SLC Tournament Committee Chairman Nalin Aponsu, and SLC Umpires Committee Chairman Samantha Dodanwala at the awards presentation ceremony.
