Colts CC trounced Police SC by 59 runs with pening batsman Sangeeth Cooray striking a career best 93 inclusive of 4 sixes and 7 boundaries in their Sri Lanka Cricket Major Clubs T20 fixture played at the P. Saravanamuththu International Stadium yesterday.

Colts made 166 for 6 in 20 overs with skipper and Sri Lanka cap Dunith Wellalage a quick 23 off 20 balls with a four and a six.

Colts pace bowler Dilshan Madushanka took 3 wicket.

Police SC to 107 for 9 with Shyamsunder Krishnashriram equal to the task claiming 3 for 13.

Defending champions NCC defeated Ace Capital CC by 3 runs in a close finish at the Colts grounds.

Ace Capital did well to dismiss NCC for 118 in 18.5 overs, but fell short just close to the post on 115 for 7 in 20 overs.

Leg-spinner Vishen Halambage starred again with 3 for 25,

Meanwhile, Pabadura SC did well to defeat strong CCC by 7-runs with leg spinner Vishen Halambage claiming 3 wickets for 25 feat at the Saravanamuththu International Stadium.

In another close finish, Tamil Union edged out Bloomfield by 2 wickets with skipper Minod Bhanuka leading the way with a forceful 44 chasiing 120 in 18.4 overs.

Moors SC won over Badureliya SC by 4 wickets on two fine knocks by Omesh Mendis 51 and Sadeera Samarawickrama unbeaten on 41 at the Colts Grounds.

BRC romped to an 8-wicket win over Chilaw Marians CC at CCC Grounds.
