CCC smote Moors SC by a handsome 8 wickets with 8 balls to spare racing to 89 for 2 wickets in 6.4 overs by a brilliant 20 ball 47 by opening batsman Nishan Madushka hoisting 3 to the stands and 4 across and a bludgeoning unbeaten 12 ball 30 by Chathuranga de Silva with 3 over the top and a boundary in a rain reduced DLS 8 over semi-final under lights yesterday on their home grounds in overhauling Moors 86 for 5 in the allotted 8 overs.

Put into bat, Moors SC did well to mount 80 in the rain shortened contest with skipper Ramesh Mendis unbeaten 28 filled with 3 over the top with openers Sadeera Samarawickrama 17 and Vshara Fernando 16 lending weight, but not weight enough in the face of the Madushka-Chathuranga onslaught adding 56 only off 23 balls after Lasith Croospulle had been bowled by Malsha Tharupathi for 4 with the score on 29 after 2.2 overs.

Moors SC 86/5 (8 Overs) Ramesh Mendis n.o. 28, Sadeera Samarawickrama 17, Vishara Fernando 16, Malsha Tharupathi 11, Isuru Sdana 2/20, Nuwan Thushara 1/24)
CCC 89/2 (6.4 Overs) Nishan Madushka 47, Chathuranga de Silva n.o. 30, Dulnith Sigera n.o. 4, Malsha Tharupath 2/16)
