The second unofficial test match between Sri Lanka A and Australia A ended in a tame draw with the hosts rattling up 558 for 4 wickets on a brilliant captain’s innings of 202 not out by Jason Sangha off 379 balls studded with 12 boundaries and a six in reply to the Lankans 485 for 9 declared at Darwin’s Marrara Oval.
The high scoring draw with two from either side scoring centuries saw the 2-match series ending on a winless note.
The second string Australian team’s skipper Sangha followed teammate Jake Weatherald’s example of a telling 183 on the penultimate day with both enhancing their prospects of making it to the top side.
Nishan Peiris claimed the only wicket to fall Oliver Peake’s caught by Pavan Rathnayake for 92.

Chief Scores
