After England fought back in exhilarating showdown almost matching India’s first innings 471 in totalling 4640 just 7 runs behind on an attacking 99 by Harry Brook in the wake of Ollie Pope’s match redeeming century 122- partnership with Duckett 62, England captain Ben Stokes struck to check India’s progress in the second innings removing Sai Sudharsan baiting him to clip to mid-wicket leaving India on 90 for 2 and 96 runs on at the close of play on a rain hit third day of the first test at Leeds.
