Moors SC and Panadura SC make it to Major Clubs T20 semi-finals

Moors SC and Panadura SC romped to the semi-finals of the Sri Lanka Cricket Major Clubs T20 Cricket Tournament by quarter-final wins over Bloomfield and Colts CC respectively.

Moors SC, batting first totaled 156 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs and dismissed Bloomfield for 115 in 17.3 overs
Ron Chandragupta accounted for three quarter of the Bloomfield total striking a praiseworthy 74 off 55 balls studded with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Moors Praveen Jayawickrama did the damage with 3 wickets for 21 runs, and skipper Ramesh Mendis 2 for 14.
Moors innings hinged on knocks of 26 each by Lasith Abeyratne, Ramesh Mendis and Shehan Fernando followed by Sadeera Samarawickrama 24.

Meanwhile, Panadura SC edged out Colts CC by 34 runs having batted first and made 133 for 8 off 20 overs and shot out Colts for 99 in 16.4 overs with Sahan Mihira and Vishen Halambage claiming 4 wickets each.at the CCC Grounds.

Panadura’s innings revolved aroud Nimesh Vimukthi with 29 runs off 25 balls, and Nisala Tharaka 23 off 19.
Colts CC captain Dunith Wellalage took 3 wickets for 10 runs.
Sangeeth Cooray top scored for Colts with 32 runs off 28 balls, Hiruna Gallage 20 and Dunith Wellalage run a ball 17.

At CCC grounds Panadura SC beat Colts CC by 34 runs
