Vishad Randika reached century peak form with a telling 124 off 186 balls driven byn15 boundaries and 3 over the top to rescue Dambulla from a shaky 154 for 5 to 313 in reply to Galle’s 370 by the third day of the finals of the Sri Lanka Cricket National Super League Tournament yesterday at the SSC Grounds. It was Randika’s second consecutive ton having hit the magical three figure trail last week as well.
Galle, which enjoyed a 57-run first innings lead in the decisive final, were 139 or 4 in their second innings with opening batsman Dinesh Chandimal leading the way with an unbeaten on 54 off 97 hitting 4 boundaries following his 80 in the first innings. Dunith Wellalage was with him on 18.
Galle’s Nimsara Atharagalla claimed 5 wickets for 101.
