Sri Lanka A continued their ominous run in the Abu Dhabi Tri Series to topping the points table for their third win on the trot by sweeping aside Ireland A by 6 wickets with 12.1 overs to spare on a 4-wicket grab by pacer Dilshan Madushanka and off spinner Dushan Hemantha 3 for 24 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

Ireland’s gamble to batting first on the toss of the coin misfired by an under par 192 from 46 overs before the Lankan attack with only Christopher De Freitas mounting a workmanlike 67 off 97 and Morgan Topping 45 with the only other substantial contributor being Stephen Doheny 31 off 36.

Sri Lanka got home with ease on half centuries by Lasith Croospulle 53 from 33 balls and skipper Sadeera Samarawickrama 50 off 47 with Lahiru Udara’s 47 off 44 in a launch pad 107 for the first wicket.

CHIEF SCORES:
